100% Every Day. That’s the RICEBIRD Way!
Meghan K. Kallina, MS, LPC
The 2023-2024 school year will begin my 22nd year in education. Before joining the Northside staff, I worked as a counselor in Wharton for a year and in Lamar Consolidated ISD for six years. Prior to LCISD, I worked in Alief ISD as a fifth grade teacher for seven years in all core subject areas and with the Gifted and Talented population.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in central Minnesota and majored in Elementary Education with a concentration in Communication, the Arts, and Literature. In 2009, I earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I also hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certificate that was earned in December of 2011.
Working in the educational setting for the past 21 years has been exciting! However, when I am not at work, I enjoy traveling with my family, skiing (both water and snow), spending time with my dogs, and horseback riding.
I look forward to meeting and working with your Northside son/daughter this year!
